Vivek Vadkar

Vivek Vadkar is a Mumbai-based fine artist specializing in oil and acrylic paintings, known for his evocative figurative and landscape works. After completing his Diploma in Art from Khopoli Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai University, he began his journey as a freelance artist, evolving into a celebrated painter. His realistic and intuitive style captures small, everyday moments, often exploring themes of wonder and simplicity, inspired by his observations of people and nature.

 

Over the years, his works have been exhibited widely in prestigious galleries, including solo exhibitions at The Taj Art Gallery, Jehangir Art Gallery, Nehru Center Art Gallery, and Gallery Leela. He has also participated in numerous group shows and festivals, such as the Pune Art Festival and Fusion at Nehru Center.

 

His achievements include being a finalist in the International Artist Magazine (June-July 2012), winning the 49th State Government Award (2009), and receiving the Best Landscape Award at the Pune Art Festival (2010). His paintings are part of collections in India and internationally, including in the USA, UK, Australia, and South Africa.
