Mamata Mondkar Shingade
Mamata Shingade is a contemporary Indian artist known for her versatile practice across painting, printmaking, and graphic arts. A graduate of L.S. Raheja School of Art with a G.D. Art in Drawing and Painting, she also holds a Diploma in Art Education from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai.
Shingade’s work has been widely recognized, earning her prestigious accolades such as the Kala-Yatri Award, 51st Maharashtra State Art Award, Art Society of India Award, and honors from the Bombay Art Society and Camlin Art Foundation. Her expressive use of acrylics and innovative graphic work have drawn attention from both national and international art communities.
She has participated in numerous exhibitions and competitions, including the Maharashtra State Art Exhibition, Bombay Art Society Annual Shows, Jehangir Art Gallery (solo and group), and international platforms like Flowering Culture, Italy. Her art has also featured in workshops and camps hosted by institutions such as the Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow and Le Sutra’s Art by the Sea.
In 2018, she was part of the CAF Euro Art Tour, and her works are held in private collections across India and abroad, including by Sushmita Sen, Luciano Benetton, and Raj Thackeray.
Mamata Shingade currently lives and works in Mumbai.
