Shrikant Kadam
Shrikant Kadam (b. 1973, Pune) is an acclaimed contemporary artist known for his vibrant abstract landscapes and expressive use of color. With over two decades of dedicated practice and pedagogy, he holds degrees including a G.D. Art, Dip. A. Ed., B.F.A., and M.F.A. in Painting, all with first-class distinction. A committed educator, Kadam has over 19 years of experience as a professor of art.
His artistic journey is marked by an impressive record of 140 solo exhibitions across India, including four at Mumbai’s prestigious Jehangir Art Gallery. He has participated in more than 150 national group shows and 9 international exhibitions in countries such as Germany, France, Holland, Indonesia, and the UK. Kadam’s work has also been featured in 13 charity shows and over 25 national and international artist camps.
A recipient of 30 awards - 20 at the state level and 10 nationally - Kadam was also honored with the Nag Foundation Scholarship, which enabled his study visits to Germany and France in 2006. From his election as a member of the Bombay Art Society (2018–2023) to his regular presence in India’s major art fairs like the Kala Mela in Delhi and Kolkata, Shrikant Kadam remains a significant and active voice in contemporary Indian art. His works are held in collections worldwide.
