Biography
Dinar Sultana is a Bangladeshi contemporary artist based between Bangladesh and India. She completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts in Painting from Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan (2015), and her Master of Visual Arts in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (2017). Since graduating, she has established an active international practice, participating in exhibitions across South Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Her work has been presented at the Dhaka Art Summit, India Art Fair, Asia NOW Paris, SOAS Gallery, London, and Bay Al Mamzar, Dubai, among other prominent platforms. She has undertaken residencies including the Samdani Art Residency (2024) and was shortlisted for the Samdani Art Award (2022). Her works are held in notable private and institutional collections, including the Samdani Art Foundation, Emami Art Foundation, Lalbhai Museum, and several distinguished private collections.
 
Working across painting, handmade paper, and installation, Sultana investigates the relationships between ecology, memory, materiality, and landscape, transforming organic and found materials into poetic visual narratives.
