Ann Carrington: A Special Viewing
Ann Carrington is a British contemporary artist renowned for transforming everyday and
discarded objects into intricate sculptural works that explore themes of value, memory,
identity, and material culture. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, London (MA Sculpture, 1987), her practice is distinguished by meticulous craftsmanship and a playful yet thought-provoking engagement with familiar objects.
Carrington’s work has been exhibited internationally at leading institutions and venues, including the Saatchi Gallery, London; Chiostro del Bramante, Rome; Kunsthalle, Munich; Musée des Impressionnismes, Giverny; and The Future Perfect, New York. In 2022, she was awarded the Freedom of the City of London in recognition of her contribution to the arts.
Through her sculptures, Carrington reimagines the ordinary, inviting viewers to reconsider notions of beauty, consumption, and cultural history.
