Origin Story 2.0, curated by Satyajit Dave for Kalakriti Art Gallery at IILM Centre for Arts and Ideas, New Delhi
If you’re a young collector or simply looking to discover contemporary art in India, Satyajit Dave’s curation of 38 emerging and mid-career artists, presented by Hyderabad-based Kalakriti Art Gallery, is the place to be. As the title suggests, the exhibition investigates the concept of origin and considers how craft and material have become important lines of inquiry for artists working across mediums. Works range from acrylic on canvas to metal sculpture and mixed-media installation, with each piece emerging from a deep investigation of materiality.
