Sanam Narayanan

Sanam C Narayanan (born 1983), a native of Cherai, Ernakulam, is a prominent painter and sculptor who completed his BFA and MFA in Sculpture from R.L.V. Fine Arts College, Tripunithura.

He gained notable attention through his solo show 'Apposite' at Kashi Art Gallery, Kochi in 2010. Since then, he has participated in numerous major group exhibitions across India and abroad. Some of his notable showcases include the Delhi Art Fair, Mumbai Art Festival, CIMA Award Show in Kolkata, 'Lokame Taravaadu' in Alappuzha, 'Songs of Soil' at Palette Art Gallery in Delhi, and 'Emerging Canvases - VI' at the Indian Art Museum in South Korea.

In addition, he has been an active participant in various prestigious national and state-level camps specializing in painting, sculpture, drawing, wood, and terracotta, organized by institutions such as the Harmony Art Foundation (Mumbai), Chitrakala Parishath (Bangalore), Kerala Lalithakala Academy, and Chavara Cultural Centre.

Sanam is the recipient of the CIMA Merit Award (2017), the Kerala Lalithakala Academy Students Scholarship, the Kanoria Centre for Arts Residence Scholarship in Ahmedabad, and the Kashi Art Gallery Residency. He currently lives and works in Kochi.
