Masuram Ravikanth

Masuram Ravi Kanth, Born in 1980 at Jangaon, Telangana. He is a multidisciplinary artist - Paintings, sculpture and Installations (audio-visual media, Photographs). 

Masuram’s works are based on photographs which are modified and superimposed by him in such a way that they cease to remain a mere reflection of reality and become a form of expression. He transforms the photograph into a personal dialogue, which is unique, crisp and allegorical in multiple perspectives.  

He won 21 awards from State and National child art competions (1986-1996). He  done solo exhibitions at Daira art gallery, Hyderabad (2002, 2003, 2009), kalakriti art gallery, Hyderabad (2004, 2011, 2014), studio Napean, Mumbai (2009), Apparao gallery, Chennai (2011), He receive the scholarships from Lalita Kala Academy, Bangalore (2001) and  HRD, Govt. of India (2003-05). He made five documentary films about artists life, also been a part of Artist-in-residency programme at Bordeaux, France (2017), He got ‘PRATHIBHA PURASKAR’ award from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad (2017), Even more stupendous was his large canvas at Nouveau 8 X 12 held in Hyderabad (2017).
