Biography
Bhanuprakash Ram is a Mysore-based artisan keeping alive the GI-tagged tradition of Mysore Rosewood Inlay. Trained in the craft that flourished under the Wodeyars in the 20th century, he works primarily with rosewood, teak, and ebony, inlaying contrasting materials like acrylic, sandalwood.
His practice balances heritage techniques — hand-carving recesses, fitting colored pieces like an ornate jigsaw puzzle — with contemporary themes.
