Biography

Venkat Bothsa (b. 1961) is a contemporary Indian artist and sculptor from Andhra Pradesh. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Andhra University and went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Over a career spanning several decades, Bothsa has established a significant presence within the Indian and international art scene through numerous solo and group exhibitions, workshops, and public art projects.

 

He has exhibited extensively across India and abroad, with presentations in cities including Bangalore, Chennai, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Lyon, and Toronto. In addition to his studio practice, Bothsa has contributed to the design and development of cultural institutions, including the Museum of Habitat in Araku Valley and the Chenchu Museum in Srisailam. He has also completed numerous public and private commissions throughout India. Venkat Bothsa currently lives and works in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
