Sisir Sahana

Sisir Sahana (b. 1963, West Bengal) is an artist, educator, and filmmaker known for his expertise in painting, glass art, and ceramics. He holds a BFA and MFA in Painting from Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan, and an Advanced Diploma in Stained Glass from Central St. Martin’s College of Art & Design, London. Currently a professor at Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan, he has exhibited widely in India and internationally, with his glass sculptures adorning public spaces. He has received numerous awards, including the AIFACS National Award (2001) and fellowships from the Creative Glass Center of America. Sahana has also directed acclaimed films showcased at international film festivals.
