Overview

Bhaskar Rao is a Hyderabad-based artist whose works are a poetic celebration of nature, often depicting serene trees, lush green landscapes, expansive water bodies, and clear blue skies. He holds a B.F.A. in Painting from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (1999), and an M.F.A. in Painting from the University of Hyderabad (2001).

 

With over 60 group exhibitions to his credit across India, as well as in the UAE, Taiwan, and Germany, Rao’s artistic journey is both diverse and impressive. Notable milestones include representing India at the India-Russia Art Festival in St. Petersburg (2019) and receiving the Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Tourism & Culture, Government of India (2001–2003). He has also been honored with the State-Level Painting Award from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University (2013) and felicitated with the Prafulla Foundation Award.
