Biography

Dinkar Jadhav is a contemporary Indian artist whose dynamic and expressive style captures the spirit of Indian life and landscapes through a deeply personal lens. A graduate of the Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, Jadhav’s artistic journey spans over three decades, earning him national acclaim for his bold use of color, powerful brushwork, and emotive compositions.

 

Jadhav has received numerous accolades, including the State Art Award for Portrait Painting (1995), multiple Best Landscape Awards (1991–1994), and the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation’s Kalanand Contest 1st Prize (2016, Pune region). His early recognition from institutions like The Bombay Art Society and the Art Society of India laid the groundwork for an expansive career marked by constant evolution.

 

He has held solo exhibitions at prestigious venues like Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, and his works have been featured in hundreds of group exhibitions and art fairs, including the India Art Fair, World Art Dubai, and shows across the USA, Singapore, Dubai, and Hong Kong. His participation in major platforms like Artisera, Eikowa, CPAA, and Kala for Vidya further showcases the wide appeal and resonance of his work.

 

Jadhav has also been an active participant in numerous art camps and residencies across India. With his distinct style and prolific presence, Dinkar Jadhav continues to shape the contemporary Indian art narrative both at home and abroad.
