Rayana Giridhar Gowd
Rayana Giridhar Gowd holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from Chama Rajendra Academy of Visual Arts, Mysore, and later refined his skills in mural painting, fresco, and tempera at Banasthal Vidyapith, Rajasthan. He completed his Master's in Painting at MS University, Baroda. His work is a masterful blend of traditional techniques and modern sensibilities, reflecting his studies of Indian scriptures. Gowd employs earth pigments and gold on handmade paper, lending a rich, luminous quality to his paintings, which are reminiscent of classical depictions of Hindu deities—vivid, intricate, and teeming with
symbolic forms.
His artwork has been showcased in both solo and group exhibitions across India and in Singapore, and he has participated in numerous art camps and workshops. Gowd’s achievements include fellowships and awards from prestigious institutions like the Kanoria Art Centre, Chitra Kala Parishad, and Nagarjuna University. His creations are part of esteemed collections, including the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi and the Sri Jagadish Mittal Museum in Hyderabad. He is currently based in Garuvupalem, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, where he continues his artistic journey.
